The first country to purchase the JF-17 fighter is Azerbaijan, with some reports suggesting it will be delivered in 2024. When the 17 Block III was announced, it was reported that a deal worth $1.6 billion had been struck between the two countries. Although the number of JF-17 fighters owned by the Azerbaijani government has not been made public, local media in the country claim that eight JF-17 fighters have been added to the country's air force.
